was palpable on World Book Day 2017. Every child deserves due credit for the

World Book Day 2017
World Book Day takes place on March 2nd 2017. On this
day pupils are invited to ‘dress up’ as their favourite book character. We hope
that pupils enjoy creating their costumes with whatever clothing and materials
that are available at home. As usual,
the more creative the better! We do not expect parents/pupils to purchase
additional costumes/materials for this event.
Ash Wednesday - The Beginning of Lent
Fr. Des visited the school on Ash Wednesday, 1st March
2017. Throughout this visit he discussed the season of Lent and distributed
ashes to the pupils and teachers of the school. Many thanks to Fr. Des for his kindness
and for helping us to create such a caring ethos throughout our school. It is very much appreciated.
Letter Writing

drafting & editing letters. They then posted the letters to Moycullen

& girls in Cregmore. Wonderful fun was had stamping, sealing, opening and
reading the letters in class. Many thanks to the pupils & teachers in
Moycullen for engaging in this activity and we look forward to ‘skyping’ you in
the near future!
