Get up GAA!!!
Pupils recently participated in a
GAA workshop. During the workshop they practiced dribbling, kicking, throwing
and chest passes to mention but a few. Lots of fun was had by all.
Glorious Gymnastics
Well done to Tess Janson who
recently participated in the under 9 gymnastics competition in the U.L Sports
Centre. Tess won a gold medal in the apparatus category. Well done Tess.
Ceol & Craic!!
Congratulations are also extended
to Ruth Treacy who represented the Lackagh Ceoltas Group in the county fleadh.
Ruth played the fiddle in her category and won a silver medal .Well done Ruth.
Hi-Glo at Dublin Castle!
Congratulations & well done to
Tess Janson who was ranked in the top five pupils from across Ireland in the Road Safety
Authority’s ‘Hi Glo’ competition. The awards ceremony was held in Dublin Castle.
The ceremony was attended by the RSA’s Chief Executive Moyagh Murdock who
commended the children for their creativity and commitment to road safety. Tess was cheered on by her fellow pupils, her parents
& teachers as she was presented with a ‘glowing trophy’ in honour and
recognition of her hard work and commitment to road safety. This was a very
enjoyable & memorable occasion. Well done Tess.

Community Competition!
Congratulations and best wishes are extended to Seán Cullinane
who has been chosen to represent his category in the All-Ireland Community
Games Model Making competition. Seán was victorious in the regional and
semi-final competitions in which he constructed a Gaelic football & a
sliotar. These items represented our national games very successfully. Well done
Seán.
