Photography Exhibit!
All classes really enjoyed having their photos taken. It was lovely to see the friendships that exist between all of the children as they got organised to have the photographs taken. Many of the children were amazed by the props, the setting, the flashing camera and the tools of technology that were used throughout this event. We look forward to seeing the photographs in the near future. In the meantime, here is a quick glimpse of the set up on the day!
Creating a smoothie!
We created delicious smoothies using various berries and fruit that are in season. This activity reflects our healthy eating policy and also creates an awareness of how tasty these healthy snacks can be. We look forward to adding various vegetables in the future.
Exploring the Water Cycle
We delivered a power point presentation on the Water Cycle. We
researched the information and used it in creating the presentation.
Seachtain na Gaeilge
As part of our Seachtain na Gaeilge celebrations, we had a traditional ceili and listened to a variety of Irish stories. This is just a small array of what is/has taken place. More information will follow shortly.
History Lesson
Some of the boys and girls undertook projects all about famous Irish people. Some of the famous figures that were investigated include; President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, Former President Mary Robinson, Taoiseach Enda Kenny, Rory McIlroy, Michael Collins, Katie Taylor, Lady Gregory, Dawson Stelfox, Padraig Pearse, Daniel O'Connell, Grainne Mhaol & Brian O'Driscoll.
The City Of The Tribes
This array of artwork reflects the project we undertook exploring the City of Galway. It allowed us to explore the history, culture and traditions of our beautiful City. Gaillimh Abu!
