Spring Clean Day Of Action

Below are some images taken during our Spring Clean Day Of Action. The Children put great effort into enhancing the school & its surroundings. Many thanks to all our pupils and their parents for supporting the occasion and for donating such beautiful plants, flowers, seeds, bulbs, bird feed, bird boxes and much more. It was wonderful to see the Children equipped with the tools necessary to undertake this exciting task.

Upcoming Spring Clean

Spring Clean Day of Action On Wednesday February 18th, we are having a Spring Clean event in our school, as part of our Green Schools Ethos. From 11am-12.30pm, we intend to carry out a number of tasks, including the sweeping of our car park and our yards. We will re-seed our pitch, clean our windows, plant flowers and bulbs, tidy our store rooms, check our recycling bins, sweep our rooms and do a general tidy up. So here is how you can help, 1 Can you bring in a shovel and/or yard brush? (label if possible) 2 Can we borrow a watering can/plastic buckets? (label if possible) 3 Do you have litter-pickers that we can borrow? 4 Do you have bulbs, flowers, plants, seeds or compost that you would like to donate? 5 Have you spare bird-seed or even a bird table? 6 Has your Child a hi-vis jacket and/or gloves? 7 Please remember that you can still recycle old/used batteries in your Child’s classroom These items can be dropped into the school on the day of the clean up or prior to the event. Your efforts and co-operation are very much appreciated. We look forward to participating in such an exciting event!

Table Tennis Ireland School League

This year Liz from Table Tennis Ireland has been teaching us the skills involved in playing table tennis, in our school hall. She set up a league so that we could practice these skills and the top four in each class received a trophy to mark how well they all did.

Everyone from 4th - 6th class really enjoyed these sessions with Liz and we look forward to her return to our school in the coming months!

Here are the table tennis league winners in 4th, 5th and 6th class. Well done to all!

Catholic School Week 2015

To mark Catholic Schools week 2015 we held a special assembly in our school hall on Friday, Jan 30th. At our assembly each class said a prayer and we all sang our chosen hymn 'More Than Just'.
