Peace Prom in Salthill is a great success

Peace Prom Galway was held in Leisureland on Saturday the 18th of October.  The children of Cregmore collaborated with other schools from the Galway area and performed various songs including current hits and some golden oldies.  The songs included actions and dance moves.  Thank you to everyone who participated and well done to Ms Connolly and Mrs Healy for helping co-ordinate the event.

Maths Week October 2014

Maths Week in Rang a Sé!

To celebrate Maths Week (13th-17th October) we left our math book closed for the whole week and instead concentrated on a range of maths board games and explored logic puzzles, we created 'Maths Masterpieces' in art and used our Surface RTs to play interactive maths games online. We learned a lot and had great fun whilst doing so! Here's the evidence!!

Cregmore NS Pupils attend Science and Technology Festival Launch, Oct 2014

A group of 20 students from fifth class attended the launch of the Science and Technology Festival this year in Medtronic as a result of a competition that Ms.Herwood entered and won for the school. We had a great time while we attended the launch. We got our pictures taken, some of us were interviewed by Galway Bay FM, we listened to some very interesting speeches and we also got to partake in the Cell Explorer's workshop where we extracted DNA from a banana. Below are some pictures documenting this visit.
