Paedar O'Dowd visits the school
Historian Paedar O'Dowd came to visit 5th and 6th class to teach us about the history of Galway! We learnt lots and it was very interesting to see things in our city we had never seen before. Thank you Paedar!!!

Catholic Schools Week- Special Assembly
Today we held a special assembly in our school hall to mark the end of 'Catholic Schools Week'. We had some lovely music, prayers and reflections to listen to and we were delighted that Fr.Des could join us for this special service too.
Cregmore School Open Night
Cregmore School open night is scheduled for Thursday the 10th of April at 7 o clock. Application forms are available from the school office.
NUIG Cell Explorers Visit 5th and 6th Class
We were delighted to welcome NUIG's 'Cell Explorers' to the school today. They delivered a workshop to 5th and 6th class based upon our DNA. This insightful workshop explored what exactly DNA is. It involved the children extracting DNA from a banana and constructing the DNA helix structure, all under the expert guidance of the Cell Explorers team. It was a fantastic experience for all involved.

Music Award
Ms Connolly and members of the Cregmore Music club accepted an award for all the hard work and dedication done throughout the school. She has taught a lot of musicians different tunes on multiple instruments. Thank you Ms Connolly and all the music teachers for all your great help.

The Galway Mummers
The Galway Mummers juvenile group entered in a competiton and after all of their practice they came out with a first place win.In that Juvenile group their were six of our students; Emma, Michelle, Róisin, Saoirse, Ellen and Leanne. The competiton that they entered involved Singing, Music, Dancing and Story Telling.

U12 girls win Connacht Shield
The U12 girls from Cregmore soccer club, won the Connacht Shield in Carrick on Shannon against two teams in August. They later went on to the All Ireland final, a week after the semi-final, the first match they played, they won 2-1 and in the final they won3-2 to win. Well done!
Santa Clause
Santa Cause came to visit Cregmore N.S today. Here are a few pictures showing Santa Clause interacting with some of the students. Not only that but we also collected food for Saint Vincent De Paul. Thank you to all the students who brought in food for Saint Vincent De Paul.

Reel Life Science Competition
Well done to the pupils of 5th and 6th class who participated in the Reel Life Science Competition recently. They recorded their very own 'Tour De Body'. The content of their presentation was very impressive and they were short listed in the top 5 entries for the competition. Their feature will now be shown at the Galway Science and Technology Festival on November 24th in NUI, Galway.

Cregmore Shoe Box Appeal
Well done to all the students who brought in a shoe box for the 'Christmas Shoe Box Appeal' and thank you to Louise for co-coordinating this event. The boxes will help children in poor countries get a small taste of Christmas this year.
